Isaac (Ike) James Soreano
Isaac James Soreano (Ike) was a generous, funny, and charming husband, father, grandfather and friend who was taken away from us way too soon after a 10-month battle with Leukemia. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. He left in peace on August 20, 2008Ike was born May 28th, 1938 in Seattle Washington, and attended Garfield High School. He began selling shoes at Chandler’s, and Fashion Bootery in the 50’s, then Lindy’s in the 60’s until he opened his own shoe store “Soreano’s Wide Shoes” at Bellevue Square in the 80’s. He was a natural salesman and his customers loved him. Ike’s greatest joy in life came from spending time with his family, especially his 16 Grandchildren. Whether is was going to the casino with Mickey, a school sporting event with Elliott or Spencer, teaching Isaac how to drive, helping Katie and Ethan with the farm animals, attending school functions with Henry or Quinn, gardening with Vivian or just hanging out with Ruby – he ALWAYS did it with a smile and ALWAYS made it more fun. He leaves behind his beloved wife Shirley, who he was married to for 45 years, His daughters, Darcy Kovacs(Mike), Juliane Koss(Konrad), Kim Dailey(Brian), Tracy Soreano, Robin Hamrick and son Bill Hamrick as well as his adopted-like daughter Sue Henrikson(Davin). He will be missed by Brother, Louis Soreano, Sister Bertha Hasson and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Our family invites you to share with us in the celebration of his life at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at the home of Darcy and Mike Kovacs 1229 88th PL NE Clyde Hill 98004.
