On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, Karla Howell, loving mother and grandmother, passed away in the city of Renton, Washington, at the age of 68.

Karla grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and New Orleans, Louisiana, before moving to Bellevue, Washington, where she raised her two sons, Jayson and Sean.

She was an active member of Newport Presbyterian Church who donated her time to local youth charities and to the Virtues Project which she was passionate about. She was known for her easy smile, her sense of humor, and for making quick friends of people she met.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Gerry Kaucher, and her brother, Craig. She is survived by her brother Paul, her sister Nancy, her sons Jayson and Sean, her grandson Stuart, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 17th, 2021 at 2 o’clock pm at Newport Presbyterian Church in Bellevue, Washington. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Virtues project at virtuesproject.com or to Bridges Ministries at bridgemin.org .
