Leo G. (Micky) McDermott

Leo G. (Micky) McDermott passed away on January 8, 2014. He had been a resident of Bellevue for 50 years.

Micky was born in Huron, SD, to Leo A and Effie (Redlin) McDermott on June 11, 1926. He was a 1944 graduate of Huron High School. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, returning to Huron after discharge, and in 1948 married the former Margaret Coyne. He graduated from Huron College and then began a 30 year career working for Deluxe Check Printers.

Micky leaves 4 daughters, Kathleen, Coleen, Susan, and Lee Anne; 3 grandchildren, Megan, Caitlin, and Patrick; and 3 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Mark, and Layla. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Michael, brother Robert, and former wife Margaret.
