Marilyn McBride

Marilyn McBride, a Gig Harbor resident since 1978, passed on Wednesday the 20th of January 2016 from heart failure.

Marilyn loved working with and helping kids to do and be their best. She had just retired after 29 years with the Peninsula School District. She was a gourmet cook, avid gardener and loved camping with her family and friends.

Marilyn is survived by her husband George, children Shannon, Casey and Colby, son-in-law Brad, grandchildren Will and the Captain CJ – Gig Harbor, brothers Al, sister-in-law Sig – Portland, Dan Quinn, sister–in-law Sharon – Bellevue, sister JoAnn, brother-in-law Rick – Mukilteo, nieces Mary Jo – San Diego, Ricki – Seattle, nephew Kyle – Bellevue, and nephew Ryan – Portland.

Service will be at grave site, 3 PM, Friday the 29th at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Gig Harbor. Donations may be made to Marilyn’s favorite charity, The American Cancer Society.
