PEG DYER

Mary Margaret Crossley Dyer, known as Peg, was born December 6, 1927 to Lillian and Clarence (Cap) Crossley, Sr., in Quincy, Illinois and died at home in Bellevue, WA January 4, 2010. Peg attended the University of Illinois, and married Darrell B. Dyer in 1947. While her children were growing up, Peg was home to care for them, always involved in volunteer activities, including Girl Scouts and church choir. She was a life-long sports fan and loved the color blue. Peg worked for the Jefferson County, Colorado Public School system as a teacher’s aid, and after 1982, a secretary in the Bellevue Public School system. Darrell died in 1982, and Peg is survived by her immediate family of four children, Marcia Dyer (Bruce Baxter), Lakewood, WA; Melissa Dyer, Bellevue, WA; Bruce Dyer (Robin) Las Vegas, NV; Melinda Coniff (Kevin) , Avon, IN; brother Dr. Cap Crossley, Jr., Las Vegas, NV, and grandchildren Elizabeth and Rebecca Baxter and Michael, Karen and Daniel Coniff. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 1:11 P.M. at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, 17222 NE 8th St, Bellevue, WA 98008. Donations can be made on her behalf to St. Peter’s United Methodist Church where Peg was an active member, and sang in the choir.
