He loved all sports excelling in basketball, tennis and golf. An outdoor enthusiast, Ralph hunted big game in Alaska and Canada. He was a fly fisherman of boundless enthusiasm joining brother Rich and cousin John on many memorable trips. He was as comfortable sailing his boat in the San Juan Islands as he was pulling on his cowboy boots and hat, kicking around with good friend Wayne in the Methow Valley. He spent many happy years in Honolulu playing on the beach with his grandchildren. The focus of his life was his family and he was a wonderful and loving father. He had a great sense of humor and lived life to it’s fullest every day. There was never a dull moment with dad that’s for sure! He was both mother and father to us; we love him dearly and will hold him deep in our hearts forever. We appreciate the wonderful care provided by Dr. Norsen, Virginia Mason. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research. Join us for a celebration of Ralph’s life on December 15, 6-8pm, Marina Room, Woodmark Hotel, Kirkland.
