Robert W. Jenny

Rob grew up in Niagara Falls, NY and received a degree in aeronautical engineering from Rennsalaer Polytechnic Institute in 1939. He designed and built things all his life, including a one man hydrofoil in 1954. He has 36 patents related to aeronautics. He went to work for Boeing in 1955 and became a patent agent. He continued writing patents until age 85.Rob married his now former wife Jean Mansfield in 1939. They had 3 children–Robin (Rothschild), Heather (Fandrich) and Paul (1952-1996). He is also survived by grandchildren Wendy, Jay (Laura), and Marc (Elisabeth) Rothschild, Tasha Mikko (Doug) and Steffen Chambers. He has four great-grandsons, Henry, William, Colin and Graham Rothschild.Rob’s assessment of his life: “I’ve had a good life. Kind of weird but good”. His tremendous intellect, wit and caring stayed with him through his last moments. He went peacefully as he had hoped. We miss him greatly.
