Walter Norman Thoen

March 28, 1927 ~ May 17, 2012

Walter Norman Thoen passed away peacefully in Bellevue, WA at age 85. Born in Milwaukee, WI to Esther and Norman Thoen.Walter graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University and worked for Boeing for 35 years. He served in the US Army from 1945 to 1947. He is survived by his wife, Willa Dee Thoen (married for 57 years), their four children Mike, Frank (Karen), Kathy Gelzer (Dan), Tom (Teri), eight grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, June 3rd at Newport Covenant Church in Bellevue, WA. Donations in his honor may be made to Newport Covenant Church or the Salvation Army.
