This is regarding the letter to the editor in the Jan. 20 edition about the case of arson at the Islamic Center of the Eastside. Seeing the protesting and sometimes violent activities over the presidential election over the past several months and — embarrassingly — on Inauguration Day, the response by the city of Bellevue (fire, police and the city) and citizens exemplify what living in Bellevue is like. This should be an example to the world of what (at least) America can be.
