Camp Korey’s annual harvest celebration Grow will take place on Saturday evening at Carnation Farm.

Camp Korey’s annual harvest celebration Grow will take place on Saturday evening at Carnation Farm. The evening will begin with wine tastings and walking tours of the camper spaces, followed by the ultimate farm-to-table dining experience that will feature a fresh, local fare prepared by Executive Chef Brian Scheehser of Trellis Restaurant at the Heathman Hotel, paired with fine wines.

Guests will have the opportunity to learn about the camper programs, bid on items in limited live and silent auctions, and support the Camp Korey mission during a Raise-the-Paddle segment. Guests will also enjoy entertainment provided by singer Susan Robinson.

Pacific Northwest Ballet will celebrate the 2011-12 season with a festive evening of dinner, dance and music on Sept. 23 at Marion Oliver McCaw Hall. Tickets are still available for the black tie dinner that will take place backstage, before the curtain rises on the captivating ALL WHEELDON performance of Carousel (A Dance); After the Rain pas de deux; Polyphonia; and Variations Sérieuses.

Christopher Wheeldon is considered one of the leading ballet choreographers in the world. He trained at the Royal Ballet School until 1991, when he became a company member and also won the Gold Medal at the Prix de Lausanne competition. Wheeldon danced with New York City Ballet from 1993 to 2000 and has since focused completely on choreography. He has recently been appointed to the artistic team of the Royal Ballet. After the performance, you can join the PNB dancers backstage for an onstage dance party with live music, dancing and desserts. events@pnb.org.
