Poem: Scoop up your dog’s poop | Letter

We take some extra MuttMutts

We take some extra MuttMutts

when we walk around the park,

For we seldom make the loop

without observing some dog’s poop

Nestled neatly in the grass

so that each and all who pass

Will see the smelly mess and shout,

“Gross! Someone did not scoop!”

How can folks be so rude, you say?

Perhaps they think our city has a

poop-collecting troop

Who search for poop at Kelsey Creek each day.

A troop sent out in caravans

to Bellevue’s nearly 90 parks

With shovels, rakes and garbage bags

and MuttMitts on their hands.

This is not so — so please be kind,

and do not leave your poop behind.

Please bring a bag, stay off your “cell,”

Our parks are dear, please treat them well.
