The two lowest seeds in the KingCo 3A league tournament will meet tonight for the tournament title when Bellevue hosts Sammamish at 7:30 p.m.
Bellevue (7-10), who was seeded third in the tournament, defeated Liberty 3-1 Monday to reach the championship. Sammamish (6-7-3), the fourth seed, beat second-ranked Mount Si 1-0 the same night.
Mercer Island, who finished the season with a perfect 12-0 league record, clinched an automatic state berth with the regular season championship and does not participate in the league tournament.
Tonight’s winner will face off against the No. 4 seed from the Metro Conference on Saturday in a pigtail game for a state berth.
The Totems won both regular season meetings between the teams, defeating Bellevue 2-1 on March 31. Sammamish won the second game 1-0 on April 24.
