The Bellevue Christian girls track and field team repeated as state champions at the 1A state championship meet at Eastern Washington University.
Key to the Vikings win was the performance of junior Mackenzie Altig, who won the triple jump with a leap of 34-10.50. Altig also finished second in the 300 meter hurdles and long jump and took third in the 100 meter hurdles. Her 32 points scored on the day accounted for over half of Bellevue Christian’s 63 team points.
Sophomore Bree Oldham was the Vikings other state title winner, beating teammates Altig and Bridget Ralston for first place. Oldham finished third in the event last season, behind her sister Terra who won the event.
Other notable finishers included Meredith Lampe, who took sixth in the 200 meter dash, Noelle Crosby (7th, 800) and Allison Hussey (6th, 1,600 and 8th, 3,200).
Jorgen Graff finished 15th in the triple jump on the boys side.

Bellevue picked up two individual titles at the 3A state championship meet at Mount Tahoma High School.
Tanner Lien, a junior, won the javelin with a throw of 188-6, while senior Michael Williams won the 800 with a time of 1:53.69. Williams also finished seventh in the 1,600 with a time of 4:20.41.
Willie Gervais took fourth place in the shot put with a toss of 52-4 3/4 and Bruce Thomas took sixth place in the 400 to round up top-eight finishers on the boys side for the Wolverines.
Bellevue’s Casey Warendorf had the highest finish on the girls side, taking sixth in the 800 in a time of 2:20.24.
Sammmamish’s Anthony Do finished fourth in the 400 for the Totems.

Jordan Todd was Interlake’s sole top-eight finisher on the boys side. Todd finished seventh in the 100 meter.
Interlake’s 4×100 boys relay team finished eighth.
Summer Hanson, a sophomore, finished fifth in the 3,200 for the Saints on the girls side. Olivia Domini took eigth in the pole vault while Brenda Agus took sixth in the discus with a throw of 109-09.

Maggie Roe was the only Newport athlete to place in the top-eight at the 4A state championship meet. Roe, a senior, took seventh in the discus with a throw of 119-07.
