Jessica Nesis, a Bellevue resident who attends the Pacific Cascade Freshman Campus in Issaquah won the 15-year-old level 9 regional championship at the Pacific Northwest Regional Championships, held in Auburn April 9-12.
The competition, held by the USA Gymnastics Association, was open to levels 8-10 and consisted of 389 girls from six states looking to move on to nationals.
Nesis, who trains with Gymnastics East, placed first in the all-around with a total score of 37.175. She also placed first in the vault (9.525), floor (9.425) and uneven bars (9.325).
Kaylee Nicklos, who attends Tillicum Middle School, placed second in the all-around in the 13-year-old group with a score of 37.15. She finished first in bars with a score of 9.4 and second in vault with the same score.
McKenna Page, a 17-year-old at Bellevue Christian also earned a first-place finish in her age bracket in the all-around with a score of 36.525.
NyKaela Dodson, a 12-year-old seventh graders at Odle Middle School, finished third in the Junior 3 all-around with a score of 36.975.
In the level 10 competition, Brooke Williams took third in the all-around for Junior C with a total score of 37.175. She also finished first in the beam with a score of 9.575.
Bellevue High’s Audrey Ryals (Junior B) took third in the all-around with a score of 36.525. Haley Lange came in third in beam (9.475) and vault (9.4) in the same division.
