Boys tennis

Bellevue 5 Sammamish 2

The Wolverines’ boys tennis team earned another win on Wednesday, 5-2 over Sammamish behind the play of number one singles player Zack Kosanke, who took his match with Ethan Romney in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0. Bellevue swept the doubles matches.

Volleyball

Bellevue 3 Sammamish 0

Lillia Mora and Memie Huang both served up six aces and adde a pair of kills as the Wolverines took care of Sammamish in straight sets, 25-12, 25-12, 25-18. Jessie Marvin tallied three aces, five digs and a block to go with her team-high 10 kills.

Liberty 3 Interlake 0Lauren Davis had an incredible 30 digs and Alyssa Deardorff added 20 assists, but it wasn’t enough as the Saints were defeated in straight sets by Liberty.

Cross Country

Sam Giner (first), Jay Taves (second) and Ivan Leniski (fourth) each finished in the top five for Interlake in its cross country meet with Liberty at Marymoor Park in Redmond on Wednesday.

The Saints won the team scoring over the Patriots 22-37.

On the girls side, Summer Hanson, Nadia Lucas and Antoinette Tansley took home the top three spots to lead the girls to a dominating win, 24-31.

Bellevue’s boys and girls both outpaced the competition as well, besting both Mercer Island and Juanita with a low meet score of 17.

John Fowler, Addison Woolsey, Spike Sievert and Ryan Long were the top four finishers for the boys while Julia Ellings came in second and Tiffany Eisenbach finished fourth for the Bellevue girls.
