The Wolverines took a pair of wins from crosstown Interlake, and Newport remained the team to beat in 4A girls swimming.

Bellevue tops Interlake

Bellevue got 23 digs from Julia Pettere and 17 kills, seven digs and a pair of blocks from Elise Berberoglu.

Natalie Phee and Lauren Patrick combined for 32 assists in the sweep.

Kendall Davis led the way for Interlake with 15 digs and Julia Regalia finished with 15 assists to go with four kills.

The Saints rebounded with a 3-1 win over Lake Washington, with Davis, Regalia and Isabelle Long leading the way.

Bellevue was unable to get past Mount Si, falling 3-2 despite 20 more kills from Berberoglu.

Sabrina Mohazzabfar broke open the scoring only seven minutes in to the game and off a Tracy Monk assist and Isabelle Butterfield put the game out of reach with a penalty kick later in the first half.

Interlake’s Anna Swann netted an unassisted score to get her team on the board, but an insurance tally from Lillie French and an Interlake own goal secured the win for the Wolverines.

The Vikings were unable to get past Vashon at Marymoor, falling 3-0.

The Knights continued their early season dominance in a win over Liberty, paced by the sprint wins of Emily Waddell, Lorea Gwo and Leah Petrini.
