Bellevue’s Michael Williams and Joel Ambo finished up the cross country season with a pair of select races last weekend.
Williams, who participated in the Nike Team Nationals despite an emergency appendectomy just ten days prior, finished 77th at the event. Williams ran a 16:09 on the 5K course at Portland Meadows race track.
Ambo finished 30th overall in the top-seeded race at the Footlocker Championships at Mt. San Antonio College in 16:16.
“Both guys are really pleased with their efforts are are excited for all they accomplished individually and team-wise this past cross country season,” said Bellevue coach Jon Hill in an email to the Reporter. “They now look forward to the spring track and field season with high goals and motivation.”
