Bicycle shop to host meet and greet, ride along with former pros

Tom Peterson is a former professional cyclist and will host a meet and greet with Martijn Maaskant in November.

Peterson Bicycle Shop, located at 1755 Northeast 48th Street and owned by professional cyclist Tom Peterson, is scheduled to host three professional cyclists from the Garmin-Cervelo sponsored professional cycling team (www.slipstreamsports.com) on November 26th and 27th.

November 26th

4:00pm-6:30pm: Come meet, talk with, and have autographs signed at Peterson Bicycle Shop.8pm: Pre-register for an all inclusive wine and dine event where you can sit back and enjoy the company of three of the best professional cyclists in the world. Wine to be served by Erik Liedholm, event catered by CRUSH (ChefJasonWilson.com). $150 per person, all-inclusive. Limit 20 persons. Purchase tickets at the shop.

November 27th

1:30pm-2:30pm: Come join the pros for a casual ride (route to be determined). Leaves from Peterson Bicycle Shop.

Martijn Maaskant

Martijn will arrive in the shop from the Netherlands. Martijn is considered one of the best classics riders from his era. This year he was plagued with injuries, but is back and set to deliver more impressive results in 2012.

Tom Peterson

Tom calls Renton home. Tom’s specialty is working to set riders like Martijn and Tyler up for the win. Tom spends most of his races on the attack, trying to animate the things and put pressure onto the other teams. This year Tom briefly held the leaders jersey during the Tour of Turkey. At the end of the race he finished in fourth overall.
