Colton Christian, a 6-foot-7 former Bellevue Wolverines basketball player, has signed with Tulane University as part of its class of 2010-2011.
Christian, who averaged 16.2 points and 10.4 rebounds last season, helped Bellevue to a 26-3 record and a third place finish in Class 3A.
“First of all, I’m really excited,” Christian said in a press release. “Tulane seems to be a really good fit for me. A major reason was the coaching staff and the city of New Orleans.”
Christian is playing for coach Kevin Keatts at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia this season and will enroll in Tulane next fall.
“Colton just adds to what we are trying to develop, which is a very athletic team that can play different styles,” said Tulane head coach Dave Dickerson. “He is a great rebounder and his scoring will come with his activity and with his rebounding ability.”
