Bellevue had four teams make the championship game in junior football, while three players from Bellevue helped the Eastside Crusaders junior team.

Four Bellevue squads make championship

Four Bellevue Wolverines teams made the Greater Eastside Junior Football Association championship round, which includes KingCo schools from around area.

The Rookie team beat Five Star (Renton) 36-24 to win the title, while the Wolverines lost 30-0 to Mount Si at the sophomore level, 19-6 to Woodinville in junior varsity and 22-12 to Juanita at the varsity level.

Mount Si was the only program other than Bellevue to have more than one team in the championship round.

Three from Bellevue help EC junior team

The Eastside Crusaders took home the Northwest Junior Football League with a 27-0 win over Mountlake Terrace at the junior level.

The team finished the season 9-0 and with 265 points scored against only 25 allowed.

The team includes middle schoolers from Federal Way to Sammamish and also includes three Bellevue youngsters in Carson Stockwell, Donaven Lewis and Mitch Flippo.
