After essentially being suspended for the first seven practices of spring ball by Washington head football coach Tyrone Willingham, it appears Bellevue High graduates E.J. Savannah and J.R. Hasty are back with the team.
Monday, April 14, was the first day the pair had participated in all the regular team drills. Both had been suspended due to “failure to live up to certain team responsibilities,” Willingham said.
Hasty and Savannah had been running stairs at Husky Stadium instead of participating in team drills during prior practices.
Savannah, a linebacker, was the team’s leading tackler last season while Hasty is expected to compete for the starting running back job, vacated by the graduation of Louis Rankin.
