Saints track squads perform well at KingCo 3A meet
The Interlake Saints girls track team compiled 91.5 points, earning third place at the KingCo 3A girls track meet at Skyline High School in Sammamish. The Saints boys team nabbed fourth place with 87 team points. In girls action, Interlake junior Ellie Erikson cruised to a first place finish in the 800-meter dash, clocking a time of 2:15.65. Saints’ senior Camila David-Smith captured first place in the 1600 with a time of 5:07.54. David-Smith also nabbed first place in the 3200 with a time of 10:44.98. Saints’ senior Gabriella Frost collected first place in the shot put and discus events. Saints’ junior Rikita Bansal earned first place in the long jump and triple jump as well. In boys action, Dante Paszkeicz won the 800 with a time of 1:56.25. Saints’ senior Mark Mikulak earned first place in 100 hurdles with a time of 15.47. Interlake’s 1600 relay team consisting of Carter Blunden, Matthew Solomon, Ashray Silwal and Paszkeicz crossed the finish line in first place with a time of 3:29.64. Tarique Zimmerman registered a first place showing in the triple jump with a leap of 41 feet, 11.5 inches.
Several Wolverines athletes place at KingCo 3A meet
The Bellevue Wolverines boys team track compiled 97 total team points, earning third place at the KingCo 3A girls track meet at Skyline High School in Sammamish. The Wolverines girls team finished in sixth place with 61 total points. In boys action, Bellevue sprinter Jack Richmond captured first place in the 200 with a time of 22.99. Richmond also earned first in the 400 with blistering time of 50.46. Wolverines’ junior Isaiah Ifanse captured second place in the 100 with a time of 11.47. Bellevue hurdler Lucas Fong captured third place in the 110 hurdles and fourth place in the 300 hurdles. Quinn Martinez captured third place in the javelin for the Wolverines. Alexander Hamilton dominated the field in the pole vault, collecting a first place finish courtesy of a 13 feet, six inch vault. Bellevue sophomore Sam Griffin finished in second place in pole vault. In girls action, Bellevue sprinter Joelle Tudor captured second place with a time of 27.14. Wolverines’ junior Aubrey Baker captured third place in the 800 with a time of 2:25.57. Bellevue junior Carlie Gilbert finished in first place in javelin with a toss of 113 feet, three inches. Bellevue’s Liberty White captured third place in the pole vault.

Bellevue Christian conquers Newport Knights
The Bellevue Christian Vikings earned a 3-1 win against the Newport Knights in a non-league contest on May 12. Bellevue Christian (14-1) will play in its first game at the 2017 Class 1A West Central District III tournament at 6 p.m. on May 19 at Sprinker Recreation Center in Tacoma.
Rebels win one-run game against Wolverines
The Juanita Rebels earned a 8-7 victory against the Bellevue Wolverines in a loser-out KingCo 3A playoff game on May 12. Bellevue finished the 2017 season with an overall record of 10-10.

Eagles shut-out Vikings
The Klahowya Eagles registered a 4-0 victory against the Bellevue Christian Vikings 4-0 in a Class 1A West Central District tournament playoff game on May 9. Bellevue Christian finished the 2017 season with an overall record of 7-10.
Knights lose to Cougars in playoff game
The Bothell Cougars registered a 1-0 victory against the Newport Knights in a loser-out KingCo playoff game on May 6. The Knights finished the 2017 season with an overall record of 7-7-3
Kangaroos conquer Saints in loser-out match
The Lake Washington Kangaroos registered a 3-2 victory against the Interlake Saints in a loser-out KingCo playoff game on May 9. Interlake finished the 2017 season with an overall record of 9-7-2.
