Saints win close battle against Bear Creek

New Year’s Eve was the perfect night for the Interlake Saints boys basketball team. Interlake edged out the Bear Creek Grizzlies 40-39 on Dec. 31. It was Interlake’s second victory of the 2014-15 season. Interlake (2-8) will host Shorewood at 3 p.m. on Jan. 10 in Bellevue.

Totems smash Wolves

The Sammamish Totems boys basketball team picked up its third consecutive win with a 60-45 win against the Sequim Wolves in a non-league contest on Dec. 30 in Bellevue. The Totems (7-1 overall) will face the Juanita Rebels at 8 p.m. on Jan. 9 in Kirkland.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Bellevue wins nail-biter against Eastside Catholic

The Wolverines captured their seventh victory of the 2014-15 season with a 54-52 win against the Eastside Catholic Crusaders at the Juanita Holiday tournament on Dec. 30 in Kirkland. Bellevue (7-2 overall) will face the Liberty Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 9 in Renton.
