The Vikes used a first inning solo home run and beat Newport 3-2 despite managing only three hits on the afternoon.

Interlake 6 Mount Si 3

Henry Lin and Jason Sass each knocked in a pair of runs and Lin worked four innings and two-thirds on the mound to get the win.

Sass worked the final inning and a third, and the two combined for four strikeouts.

Mercer Island 7 Sammamish 1

The Totems pulled even at 1-1 in the third, but five Islanders runs in the bottom half of the inning gave them the win at Island Crest Park.

Kat Wood worked a complete game and allowed only two runs for Newport in the win.

Sydney Tomlinson had a pair of base hits and knocked in six runs for the Knights.

Jose Castillo scored the game’s lone goal late in the second half, and Forrest Gobble and the Saints defense pitched a shutout against their Crossroads Cup rivals in a 1-0 win.
