Sammamish broke a conference losing streak in girls basketball that dated to 2005 with a 46-41 overtime win over Crossroads Cup rival Interlake on Wednesday. The team now has five wins overall on the year.

MaxPreps.com keeps honors coming for Bellevue football

Bellevue continues to garner honors long after its fifth state title season in a row concluded, the latest coming from MaxPreps.com.

The website, which ranked the Wolverines in the top spot of its National Medium Schools Rankings, named Bellevue head coach Butch Goncharoff its Coach of the Year and senior standout Myles Jack its Player of the Year for medium schools.

Jack was named a first-team selection to the defense at linebacker while his Bellevue teammate and fellow linebacker Sean Constantine, a UW commit, was a second-team defensive selection to the national list.
