Sammamish trailed 5-0 in the third inning of their game against Mercer Island on Tuesday in the third and 6-2 heading into the fifth. But the Totems used a five-run bottom half of the inning, sparked by an Aaron Lawrenson bases-loaded triple, to take the lead. The win, combined with a Juanita loss was enough to lock-up a 3A KingCo tournament spot for Sammamish. The Totems run in through the tournament last year ended only one game short of a state playoff berth.
