Lakeside senior legion headed to state | Prep sports news

Lakeside Recovery is sending its senior legion baseball team to state after a 2-0 record at sub-regionals.

The Lakeside Baseball Club senior legion squad is headed to the state tournament in Selah after a pair of wins in the sub-regional over Yakima Pepsi and Pacific Tech Construction.

The Spokane Bandits await in the opening round, which will be played at 4 p.m. on July 28 at Carlon Park, the home of the 3A and 4A state title games during the latest prep season.

A win will set a quarterfinal date with either the Kennewick Bandits or Hanford Flames, while a loss will put Lakeside one win from elimination and the end of the season.
