Haley Lange of Sammamish High School placed first in the Jr. 14B division at the 2009 Gymnastics in Paradise meet in Honolulu on Jan. 10. Lange, a Gymnastics East member, scored a 8.75 on the vault, 9.150 on bars, 9.175 on beam, 9.275 on the floor and had an all-around score of 36.350.

Other Gymnastics East gymnasts who placed included Audrey Ryals (1st in Jr. 13B division), McKenna Page (2nd in Sr. 16+ division), Kayle Nicklos (7th in Jr. 12 division) and Siobhan Brosnan (4th in Sr. 16+ division).

Gymnasts from Gymnastics East also placed in the Seattle Open on Jan. 18 and 19, held at the Lynnwood Convention Center. Isabelle Miller took first place in the age 11 division and Hannah Walsh took first in the age 12 division of Level Four. Amy Yeung won the age eight division of level five
