Using primarily backup players, the Bellevue girls basketball team upended Sammamish 63-9 at Bellevue High School.
The Wolverines (10-4, 5-1 KingCo 3A/2A) were led by 6-foot freshman Shelby Fanning, who scored 13 points. Alli Cahill and Alexis Newman added nine points each for Bellevue, who is locked in a first-place tie with Mercer Island.
The loss kept the Totems (0-12, 0-6) winless under first-year head coach Ashley Blake. Kendall Dougherty, Jennifer Garay and Sophie Wolz each scored two points for Sammamish.

Liberty 62, Interlake 52
The Saints outscored Liberty 19-9 in the fourth quarter but it wasn’t enough to make up a big first-half deficit, as the Patriots beat Interlake 62-52 in Bellevue.
Sarah Anderegg and Litia Ngauamo scored 18 points each to lead Interlake (10-4, 2-4). Liberty’s Danni Sjolander and Corinna Van Hurston each scored 17 points to lead the Patriots (11-3, 4-2). Katie Growden was also in double figures for Liberty with 11 points.
Newport 56, Woodinville 41
Newport survived a game-high 19 points from Falcon scorer Melissa Gilkey as the Knights beat Woodinville on the road 56-41.
Lauren Vannini scored 14 points and Caitlin Bennett had 10 as Newport (9-3, 6-3 KingCo 4A) remained in contention for the race for the Crest division title.
The Falcons dropped to 7-5 overall and 3-5 in league play.
Bellevue Christian 68, Forest Ridge 10
Bellevue Christian started the game on a 23-0 run and kept the pace up to rock the Ravens 68-10.
Michelle Teng had 14 points for Bellevue Christian (9-1, 6-0 Emerald City League). The Ravens dropped to 1-10 overall and 1-6 in league play with the loss.
