Flora Weeks came out in front of the pack at the WSWGA state championships to bring the title back to Overlake.

Flora Weeks, who calls Overlake Golf and Country Club in Medina her home course, won the Washington State Women’s Golf Association state tournament on August 3, beating a competitor from Rainier 2 & 1 in the championship flight.

Weeks, a former collegiate All-American in the sport at Middlebury College in Vermont, became the first Overlake golfer to win the event since Liz Culver did so in 1993.
