Paez partakes in experience of a lifetime

Football for Sinaloa, a Bellevue-based organization, put together a memorable weekend for Angel Uribe Paez from Sept. 15-17. Paez, who is a 9-year-old quarterback for the Culiacan Rhinos football team in Mexico, won Football for Sinaloa’s 2017 Student Athlete of the Year Award. Paez currently carries a 9.7 GPA (out of 10) and is described by teachers and coaches as a true leader in the classroom and on the field. Paez spent three days in the Seattle region meeting NFL/NCAA football players, attending football games as well as receiving specialized football training. Paez had field passes to the University of Washington Huskies football game against Fresno State on Sept. 16 and had field passes to the Seattle Seahawks football game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 17. The signal caller also took part in specialized quarterback drills/training sessions at the Pro Sports Club in Bellevue as well as at the Ford Sports Performance facility in Bellevue.
