Joe Scalzo went 3 for 4 and scored two runs to give the Islanders (4-2, 2-2 KingCo 3A) a road win over Bellevue. Cullen Russell picked up the win for Mercer Island while Colton Bielaski was hit with the loss for the Wolverines (3-4, 2-3).
Skyline 4, Interlake 1
Blake Fulghum went seven innings and allowed only 3 hits while striking out seven as Skyline (6-2, 4-1) defeated Interlake at home. Joe Gallagher took the loss for Interlake (3-5, 1-4).
Liberty 11, Sammamish 8
Liberty pounded out 12 hits and took advantage of three Totems errors as the Patriots outlasted Sammamish in a slugfest.
Liberty improved to 6-2 overall and 5-1 in the KingCo Conference with the win. Brandon Lawyer was tagged for the loss for the Totems (1-6, 1-5).

Bellevue Christian 14, Bush 0
Jon Houck picked up two RBIs as the Vikings (3-3, 2-2 Emerald City League) dominated Bush (0-3, 0-2) at Wilburton Park.

Newport 9, Issaquah 8
Jake Franklin hit a a game-winning single with the bases loaded to cap a five-run seventh inning to send the Knights past Issaquah at Bellevue Community College. The game matched the previous two state champions in 3A. Newport won the title in 2006, while Issaquah won it last year.
The win allows Newport (5-3, 4-1) to stay within a half-game of Skyline and Liberty in the KingCo Conference.
Issaquah (4-4, 3-4) failed to get a hit after the fifth inning.
Mount Si 6, Bellevue 5
Danny Cavanaugh and Blake Hepner each knocked in two runs as the Wildcats put up four runs in the sixth inning to defeat Bellevue.
Alex Bielaski took the loss for Bellevue (3-5, 2-4). Mount Si improved to 3-4 overall and 3-3 in KingCo with the win.
Mercer Island 7, Interlake 3
The Saints could not hold on to a late lead, allowing the Islanders seven runs in the seventh inning, as Mercer Island escaped with a win over Interlake.
Skyline 7, Sammamish 2
Skyline scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to get ahead of the Totems (1-7, 1-6) for good in a home victory.
Jared Lemke picked up the win for the Spartans (7-2, 5-1).
Metro League
Eastside Catholic 10, Lakeside 0
Sam Lindquist went five innings, striking out six while allowing only one hit to get the win for the Crusaders (7-1, 6-0 Metro League). Spenser Payne hit a two-run homerun for Eastside Catholic in the first inning. Lakeside falls to 3-5 overall and 2-4 in Metro League play.

Race Sciabica scored his seventh goal of the season in the 72nd-minute to push the Wolverines to a 2-1 victory over Mercer Island.
John Woo kicked off the scoring for Bellevue (5-1-1, 5-1-1 KingCo 3A) with an unassisted goal in the 18th-minute. Derek Johnson scored the Islanders (3-3-1, 3-3-1) only goal in the 27th-minute.
Sammamish 1, Newport 0
Josh Guerrero scored the games only goal in the 35th-minute, helping the Totems (3-1-3, 3-1-3) defeat Newport. Matt Hansen picked up the shutout for Sammamish. Newport drops to 4-2-1 overall with the loss.

Eastside Catholic 1, Bishop Blanchet 1
Chris Mataja scored for the Crusaders (2-2-1), who played to a 1-1 tie against Bishop Blanchet. Zach Badger scored for the Braves (4-0-2).

Lisa Bennett went 4 for 5 with three RBIs as the Wolverines picked up their first win of the year. Adrienne Buxbaum picked up the win for Bellevue (1-4, 1-4 KingCo 3A). Mercer Island dropped to 0-8 overall and 0-5 in KingCo 3A.
Skyline 3, Newport 1
The Knights and Spartans battled to a 0-0 tie through nine innings, but Skyline knocked in three runs in the top of the 10th and held on to win against Newport.
Stacey Hagenson went all 10 innings and struck out 11 for Newport (5-2, 4-1) but was hit with the loss. Lauren Richards got the win for Skyline (5-3, 4-3).
Liberty 3, Interlake 1
The Saints couldn’t hold on to a 1-0 lead, allowing the Patriots three runs in the top of the seventh inning, as Liberty rallied to defeat Interlake.
Stefanie Rabitoy took the loss for Interlake (5-3, 3-2). Bree Bartholomew pitched seven innings and struck out eight to get the win for Liberty (4-2, 3-1).

Alex Johnston hit two homeruns in the first inning, as the Crusaders cruised to a big win over Lakeside (1-3, 1-3 Metro League). Eastside Catholic improved to 8-0 on the season with the win.
