Not even a little rainfall, the first in weeks, could spoil Interlake’s June 19 spring football jamboree with Lake Washington and Eastside Catholic High Schools.
“I really think that all three squads benefited from playing in it,” said Interlake coach Sheldon Cross. “It was really good to get our kids out there and play other kids from another school with different styles, formations and plays.”
Cross reported no serious injuries at the event, which he said is “all you can ask for.”
“It was a great evening,” he said. “I think fans of all three schools got to see a very competitive scrimmage full of good plays.”
“I know this will be a very good building block heading into summer for all three programs,” he continued. “I expect to see all three schools have success come fall…”
