Girls tennis

Interlake wins pair

The Saints got straight set wins in three of the four singles matches and took all three doubles from Liberty to get the win.

Lina Larson, Setareh Rock and Melissa Long took home singles victories while Brigette Long and Kate Chen, Julia Liu and Vickie Zlatinova and Shreya Singh and Sophie Wang were winners on the doubles side, also in straight sets.

Isabelle Long won in the number one spot as the Saints swept the singles matches in a 6-1 win over Woodinville.

Boys soccer

Interlake 3 Newport 0

Issac Reed, Jason Rodriguez and Sydney Ecoiffier scored goals for the Saints in the win over crosstown Newport.

Forrest Gobble and Sam Dawson combined on the shutout, while Jose Castillo and Nestor Quijada assisted on the Reed and Ecoiffier goals.

Castillo and Ecoiffier scored goals in a 2-0 win over Hazen, which came on the heels of a 1-0 defeat to Liberty.

Girls water polo

Bellevue 4 Shorewood 3

The Wolverines won on a goal from Maggie Uglestad in the second overtime period after tying things up with only seconds remaining in the first OT against Shorewood.

Julie Mao scored a pair of goals to put her team up in the third period, before Shorewood evened things up to force overtime.

After falling behind 3-2, and with the final seconds ticking off the clock, freshman Morgan Baker delivered a tying goal to force the second overtime.

Lucy Stokes finished with four saves in goal for Bellevue in the win. The Wolverines face Roosevelt Monday at 8:30 p.m. at Helene Madison Pool.

Boys lacrosse

Skyline 6 Bellevue 11

Hank Bethke scored five goals and Eric Haehl and Ryan Eastes each added two as the Wolverines took care of Skyline to remain unbeaten on the season.

Cole Cansler had nine saves in net for Bellevue in the win.

Charley Kurtenbach scored three goals to lead the offense for the Spartans.

Baseball

Mount Si 4 Newport 0

The Knights were unable to generate any offense against the Wildcats’ Zach Usselman in a 4-0 loss at Safeco Field.

Eastlake 8 Bellevue 1

The Wolverines fell to 4A Eastlake in a non-conference game.
