Chris Tremonte of Redmond took his second-straight Seafair Triathlon title, finishing the ninth-annual event staged at Seward Park in 58:57.

Tremonte and Seattle’s Rhae Shaw (women’s winner, 1:03.48) bested nearly 2,000 participants in the event, which took place Sunday, July 19.

The sprint distance triathlon featured a 1/2-mile swim, a 12-mile bike ride and a 3.1-mile run.
