Fans who attend this weekend’s Puget Sound Titans semi-pro football game at Newport High School will have the opportunity to mingle with a Super Bowl champion.
Chris Hayes will autograph copies of his first book, “Suits on…Game on.” before Saturday’s Titans game at 6 p.m. at the Newport High School Football Field. Hayes played seven years in the NFL after being drafted by the New York Jets in the seventh round of the 1996 NFL Draft after a solid career at Washington State University.
Hayes, a defensive back, played in two games for the 1996 Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers.
His final season was 2001, which he spent with the New England Patriots.
Tickets for the game are $7 for adults and $3 for kids ages 17 and under. Fans who bring a canned food item will receive $1 off their ticket price.
The Titans are 7-0 this season in the North West Football League, having recently defeated the Pierce County Bengals 57-0 on July 26. Puget Sound will take on the 6-1 Seattle Stallions on Saturday.
