Bellevue Thunderbird Little League kicked off its 2015 opening day ceremonies on April 18 at Newport High School in Factoria. More than 500 kids in attendance took the Little League pledge during the festivities. The Newport High School baseball and softball teams were in attendance to support the little league players.
“Thunderbird Little League has a long tradition of providing fantastic baseball or softball experience to our players and their families, and has been a fixture in this community for over 40 years,” Thunderbird Little League President Larry Holden said in a press release. “We are now in our second generation of players. Brad Files, the head coach for Newport High School baseball team was a Thunderbird as a kid, and his kids played Thunderbird too.”
