Bryce Oldham paced the Vikings with 16 points and Nick Schubert added 13 more for coach Mike Downs in the win.

King’s defeated Cascade Christian 41-34 in its opening round game and will face BCS at 6:30 p.m. with a spot in the tournament title game and 1A state tournament on the line.

Bellevue finds itself in the losers bracket of the 3A Sea-King tourney after falling 69-58 to top-ranked Rainier Beach.

Anrio Adams led the way for Beach with a game high 28 points and Cole Walton scored 19 for Bellevue in the loss.

The Wolverines will face Mercer Island at 6:30 p.m. at Bellevue College on Fri. for a slot in the fifth place game of the tournament and with the season on the line.

Newport’s season came to a close in the 4A KingCo tournament with a 60-56 loss to Bothell.

3A KingCo champion Bellevue was dropped 54-43 by Lakeside in its first game in the Sea-King district tournament despite a game high 22 points from Katie Savard.

The Wolverines will face Bainbridge on Fri. in a loser-out game at Bellevue College at 4:45 p.m. The winner will have one more chance to earn a trip to state against the winner of another consolation semi-final between Liberty and Juanita.

Interlake got nine points from both Margo Parker and Cassidy McDermott and led wire-to-wire to advance into quarterfinals of the 12-team West Central District III 2A girls basketball tournament, 48-32 past Lindbergh.

Coach Scott Marcum’s squad built a five point advantage after the first quarter and stretched the margin beyond reach by holding Lindbergh to only 12 points in the second half.

Interlake will face top-seeded White River in the next round for a spot in the semi-finals and guaranteed berth to the 2A state tournament at Lakes High School on Friday, Feb. 17 at 8 p.m.

A loss will mean a trip to the losers bracket and leave only three straight wins as an option to advance to state.

Bellevue Christian advanced into the tri-district semi-finals with a 46-44 win over Nooksack Valley.

The Vikings will meet King’s tonight at 5 p.m. at Mountlake Terrace High School for a spot in the tournament title game and 1A state tournament.

Newport was knocked from the 4A KingCo tournament by Skyline by a score of 50-32. Milana Hoving scored a team high 12 for the Knights and was matched by Skyline’s Megan Wiedeman as the Spartans led throughout to advance to the tournament’s third-place game.
