The Kangs picked up the win and moved into the 3A KingCo title game behind a complete game performance from Zach Johnson on the mound in a 6-3 win.

Bellevue’s Reid Hartmann knocked in a pair of runs and his team will try to stave off elimination against Liberty today at 4 p.m.

KingCo meets conclude today

The 4A and 3A KingCo track and field meets will conclude today at Juanita High School.

Several from Bellevue are among the leaders, including Will Sheeran, Mike Kneip and Floraine Kameni and are joined by Pascale de Sa E Silva of Sammamish.

Newport’s top finishers from Day One included Alisa Poplawski and Candace Ho.

Field events for both 4A and 3A begin today at 3:30 p.m. and continue throughout the evening. Top finishers from the conference will move on to compete in their respective district meets for state berths.
